Chris Gayle breaks McCullum’s record


Mumbai: West Indies Chris Gayle breaks record of New Zealand’s Brendon McCullum to hit most sixes in Twenty20 internationals.

The former New Zealand batsman had 91 sixes to his credit, Chris Gayle crossed this figure by hitting 11 sixes against England reaching to a total of 98 sixes. Shahid Afridi with 70 sixes stands 5th, the record of hitting 14 sixes in an inning is with Australian batsman Aaron Finch. Earlier Gayle hit 10 sixes in a match played against Proteas. This is Gayle’s second century in WT20, he also played a three figure innings in the first match of the inaugural edition played against South Africa in 2007.
