PSL final Karachi Peshawar Zalmi Islamabad United
National Stadium Karachi is all set to host final of PSL 3

Karachi will witness the international stars in action after almost nine years on March 25th when Peshawar Zalmi will take on Islamabad United in the final of the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). It is expected to be a cracker of a contest when the champions of the first edition will take on the title holders this Sunday at National Stadium Karachi. Here are five things to expect during that big game.

Electrifying atmosphere

Karachiites are already extremely excited to witness the live action. Tickets were sold out within hours after they were put on sale. Wherever you roam in the city, there are colours of PSL, everyone is ready to welcome cricket in the city after nine years of drought. There will be singing, dancing and chanting in the stands of National Stadium Karachi.

Kamran’s carnage

Kamran Akmal Peshawar Zalmi Karachi Kings

Kamran Akmal has been in the form of his life in the third season of the league. He has already scored 424 runs at a strike rate of 158.20 which also include an unbeaten century. He was phenomenal against Karachi Kings in the second eliminator where he struck 77 runs off just 27 balls that shifted the game in his team’s favour. A blistering inning from the eldest of Akmals is expected on the big occasion.

Rampaging Ronchi

Luke Ronchi, the wicketkeeper-batsman of Islamabad United, has been on a roll during PSL 3. He has been unstoppable in this tournament and has taken a number of games away from the oppositions single-handedly. He has scored 383 runs at a strike rate of 179.81 at an average of 42.55. He can do some fireworks in the big final for Islamabad United.

Stubborn Sammy

Darren Sammy has not been fully fit during this tournament. He is in pain and is limping around, in fact, he looks to hide himself in the field. But, he has been so determined to defend his title that he is not ready to bog down. He has steered his team to victories single-handedly, or we may say on a single leg. Darren Sammy can take stubbornness to new heights during the final of PSL 3 at National Stadium Karachi.

Crazy celebrations

Be it Islamabad United or Peshawar Zalmi, there will be some over-the-top celebrations after winning the tournament. Both teams have tasted this success before and they know how big an achievement it is. The scenes at the stadium will be ravishing, which will make the celebrations even more rocking.
