Peshawar Zalmi to have advantage in case of a washout

Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators will lock horns in the first eliminator of the third season of Pakistan Super League in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore today, the winner of this game will advance to the second eliminator where they will take on Karachi Kings.

It has been drizzling in Lahore since morning, though the forecasts suggest that there will be no rain by the evening and everyone is hoping for the same as well.

However, if it rains and the game is washed out, Peshawar Zalmi will be the one at the advantage as they will qualify to face Karachi Kings in the second eliminator on the basis of their position at the points table.

Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi hold 10 points each, however, the men in Yellow have the better net run rate with 0.46 as compared to Sarfraz Ahmed’s team’s 0.31.

Earlier, Islamabad United dominated Karachi Kings in the qualifier of PSL and won the contest by eight wickets to earn a place in the final of the league which is to be played on March 25th in Karachi.

The game between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi is scheduled to start at 7 PM.
