Rumman Raees destroys Lahore Whites with his 9/25

Rumman Raees

The left-arm fast bowler, Rumman Raees ran riot against Lahore Whites as he took nine wickets for just 25 runs in the second inning to give United Bank Limited (UBL) a convincing victory by an inning and 122 runs.

It is Rumman Raees’ best bowling figures and second best in the history of Pakistan’s first-class cricket.

He ended the match with impressive figures of 11/80 in the Pool ‘B’ game of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, played at Lahore from October 3 to 6.

Raees was considered as a limited-over specialist with his accuracy and deceiving variations. He was impressive at his debut against England in the semi-final of Champions Trophy, where he had to fill Mohammad Amir’s big shoes in the lineup.

Rumman’s impressive show with the red ball likely to put him under selectors’ radar for the longest format of the game as well.

He made his First Class debut in 2010-11. He has taken 138 wickets so far in the 44 matches that he has played.
