Shahid Afridi apologizes to nation over dismal World T20 show


Shahid Afridi led Pakistan side are criticized for their dismal show in World T20 2016 and this is precisely the reason why, after head coach Waqar Younis’s apology, Shahid Afridi has apologized to the nation for his team’s poor show.

In a video message on social media Shahid Afridi said that he has played international cricket for Pakistan for the past 20 years and he always tried to give his best whenever he is wearing the green shirt and holds a lot of respect for it.


The explosive batsman added that this team is not just of 11 players who step onto the field but the carries the emotions and wishes of the entire nation so he holds himself accountable for the people of Pakistan only and not anyone else.

“Today, I, Shahid Afridi, apologise to the whole nation for not being able to fulfil the hopes of myself and my team.” (AFP)

Earlier Shahid Afridi had said that he will not appear in front of the fact finding committee because of the illness of his daughter and if they have any questions they can ask those via a telephonic conversation.
